By purchasing or maintaining a paid Reef Rookies membership, you (“Member”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following Terms of Service.
1. Membership Services
Reef Rookies memberships provide access to educational content, community features, member-only resources, discounts, events, and/or other benefits associated with the membership tier selected.
Membership benefits may vary by tier and may be updated, replaced, or discontinued as Reef Rookies continues to develop its services. Current benefits are described on the Reef Rookies website.
2. Educational Disclaimer
All Reef Rookies content, including videos, classes, discussions, guides, consultations included as membership benefits, and other educational materials, is provided for informational and educational purposes only.
Aquarium systems are complex biological environments, and results will vary. Reef Rookies makes no guarantee regarding livestock survival, coral growth, system stability, algae control, equipment performance, or any other aquarium-related outcome.
Members remain solely responsible for decisions made regarding their aquarium systems and assume the risks associated with implementing information provided by Reef Rookies.
3. Membership Billing and Cancellation
Paid memberships are billed according to the billing cycle selected at enrollment and will automatically renew unless canceled.
Members may cancel their membership at any time. Cancellation prevents future renewal charges but does not provide a refund for the current billing period unless otherwise required by law.
Membership access and benefits remain available through the end of the applicable paid billing period.
4. Refunds
Membership payments are generally non-refundable once processed, including payments for partially used membership periods.
Physical products, merchandise, discounts, consultations, or other benefits included with a membership are subject to any additional terms or eligibility requirements associated with those benefits.
5. Member Access
Member-only content and benefits are intended solely for the individual Member and may not be shared, copied, redistributed, recorded, reproduced, resold, or made publicly available without written permission from Reef Rookies.
Membership accounts and access credentials may not be shared with others.
6. Community Conduct
Members participating in Reef Rookies communities, live events, classes, Zoom meetings, or other interactive services are expected to behave respectfully and follow all applicable Reef Rookies community rules.
Reef Rookies reserves the right to restrict or terminate access for abusive, disruptive, fraudulent, or otherwise inappropriate conduct, or for violations of these Terms or applicable community rules.
7. Suspension or Termination for Violations
Reef Rookies reserves the right to suspend or terminate a membership, including access to member-only content, communities, events, classes, and other membership benefits, if a Member violates these Terms of Service, applicable community rules, or engages in conduct that Reef Rookies reasonably determines to be abusive, disruptive, fraudulent, harmful, or otherwise inappropriate.
Termination of a membership for a violation does not entitle the Member to a refund or credit for any unused portion of the current membership period, except where otherwise required by law.
Termination may also result in the Member losing access to Reef Rookies communities or services associated with the membership. Reef Rookies reserves the right to refuse future membership or participation to individuals whose memberships have been terminated for violations.
8. Availability of Benefits
Reef Rookies may modify membership benefits, content, schedules, platforms, or features as necessary to improve or operate the membership program.
Live events, classes, consultations, giveaways, physical items, discounts, and similar benefits may be subject to scheduling, availability, eligibility, or other reasonable limitations.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Reef Rookies, its owner(s), affiliates, and representatives shall not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages resulting from the use of membership content, participation in membership activities, or implementation of aquarium-related information provided through the membership.
Members retain full responsibility for their aquarium systems, livestock, equipment, and decisions.
10. Intellectual Property
All Reef Rookies videos, classes, guides, graphics, documents, educational materials, methods, and other original content remain the intellectual property of Reef Rookies unless otherwise stated.
Membership provides access to this content for personal use only and does not transfer ownership or redistribution rights.
11. Acceptance of Terms
By purchasing, renewing, or using a Reef Rookies paid membership, the Member agrees to these Terms of Service and acknowledges responsibility for their use of Reef Rookies content and membership benefits.
Reef Rookies reserves the right to update these Terms of Service as the membership program evolves. Continued use of a paid membership following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
